Based upon a true story. You may be familiar with Balto, one lead sled dog in Nome, Alaska in 1925 during a snow blizzard of 60° below zero and winds up to 50 miles per hour that was recruited along with 19 more dog sled teams that formed a relay team that traveled an average of 31 miles each. They set out to collect the syrum for an outbreak of diptheria.
The round trip was 640 miles. This untold story of one dog sled team lead by Togo & his master Leonhard Seppala traveled 264 miles. Seppala Siberian sled dog is a breed he sired.
Balto has a statue erected in New York Central Park . In 2010, Time magazine pronounced Togo as the most couragious animal of all time.
