Senator Harry Reid Horse Stealing & Train Robbery Hanging Family

RON PAUL’S BILL HR459 = AUDIT THE FED = END THE FED

Senator Harry Reid’s great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889.

Judy Walkman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California, was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Senator Harry Reid’s great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train
robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor. The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory:

On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: ‘Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.’

So Judy recently e-mailed Senator Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.

Harry Reid:

Believe it or not, Harry Reid’s staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research: “Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed.”

Light Horse Harry Reid is a no good, dirty, lying sonofabitch. He’ll say anything that pops into what passes for his mind. I think that the recent statements about Mitt Romney having paid no taxes for the past ten years, then refusing to name his source for the information prove that he’s finally reached the point of senile dementia. Harry likes to make much of his days as an amateur boxer. Well, so was I, and I’d be willing at my advanced age of 67-year’s, on two artificial knees to lace up my gloves and climb into the square circle with the Senate Majority Leader. After all, I live in Sin City, so he wouldn’t even have to travel. Hell, I even journey out to that godforsaken hellhole, Searchlight [Harry’s home town] for the fisticuffs.

Wow, what a different synopsis of his life coming from Harry Reid and the REAL truth about his uncle. Just goes to show you what lying, crooked bastard he really is…Although, not surprised to be sure!

The man in the photo is actually Thomas Edward “Black Jack” Ketchum, a notorious train robber who was executed in New Mexico in 1901. The photo was made into a souvenir postcard with the inscription, “The hanging of Black Jack the outlaw.” No mention of any Remus. This is a funny story, funny enough to have been revised and repeated at least four times since 2000, but that’s all it is. There’s no truth to it.
